OWLS HEAD – The wedding of Allison Burgess and Christopher Fiala was held at 4:30 p.m. on June 19 at Owls’s Head overlooking the ocean. Calla Wells, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Fiala is the daughter of Arthur and Gail Burgess of Auburn. Mr. Fiala is the son of James and Barbara Fiala of Bristol, Va.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless satin gown in A-line style with re-embroidered lace bodice. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of miniature Calla lilies, white spray roses, ladies mantle, astilbe, seeded eucalyptus and white lisianthus.

Amanda Burgess, sister of the bride, was honor attendant and bridesman was Nicholas Burgess, brother of the bride.

A brother of the bridegroom, Joe Fiala, served as best man and usher was Jim Fiala, another brother.

A cocktail reception followed under a tent at the home of the bride’s grandparents, Nathalie and Guy Nicholas. Dinner and dancing was held later at the Farmstead in Rockport.

The couple traveled to Bar Harbor for their wedding trip and are residing in Auburndale, Mass.

The bride is a 1992 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 1996 graduate of Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. She is employed as office manager at Coffee Pond Productions in West Newton, Mass.

The bridegroom is a 1989 graduate of John Battle High School in Bristol, Va., and a 1995 graduate of East Tennessee University in Johnson City, Tenn., with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He is employed as digital services director at Coffee Pond Productions in West Newton, Mass.
