PARIS – Bob Shinners, vice president of lending for Western Maine Finance, spoke recently at the Oxford Hills Rotary Club meeting.

Western Maine Finance, a community development financial institution, provides loan capital for business start-up, expansion, equipment purchases and other business and community needs.

It works with a variety of private and public partners to secure loan capital and put it straight to work in the communities served. The funds keep businesses open, people employed and create purchasing power for local companies.

Rotary International was founded in 1905 and is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and the theme is “Celebrate Rotary.” The Oxford Hills Club was chartered in 1983 and is in its 21st year.

The Oxford Hills Rotary Club meets at 7:30 a.m. Wednesdays at the First Congregational Church, South Paris. If interested in attending a meeting, contact President Patty Rice at 743-7777 or check out www.oxfordhillsrotary.org for more information.
