NORWAY – “Secret Language” by Monica Wood has been chosen for discussion at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the Norway Memorial Library.

It is the first in a series of three discussions focusing on the fiction of Maine author Monica Wood, who was born in Mexico and lives in Portland. On Feb. 22 the book for discussion will be “My Only Story” and on March 15, “Ernie’s Ark.”

“Secret Language” is the story of two sisters who endured the same childhood as daughters of egocentric, semi-famous actors. As adults the sisters go their separate ways until a series of revelatory events bring them back to each other and to family. Wood shows the ways that family can doom and redeem members.
