STANDISH — Rob Stockwell poured in a game-high 15 points and had 12 rebounds to carry Bates to a 88-61 victory over St. Joseph’s on Tuesday.

Bryan Wholey tossed in 14 points while Elliot Linsley and Brian Gerritty added 12 points apiece for Bates (12-4).

Chad Pulkkinen paced St. Joseph’s (7-6) with 13 points.

USM 93, UMB 68

GORHAM – Jason Levecque scored a game-high 21 points to lead Southern Maine to a 93-68 win over UMass-Boston.

Jesse McKinnell added 15 points for USM (7-9) and Mike Francoeur contributed 13. Bill Hardwick and Josh Daniels chipped in 12 and 10 points.

The Beacons (5-1) were sparked by Tony Barros’ 21 points.

CMCC 96, SMCC 65

AUBURN – Chris Brackett scored 31 points and former Div. I player Jon Wallingford added 25 in his Central Maine Community College debut to lead the Mustangs to a 96-65 triumph over Southern Maine CC.

Wallingford, who played at Maine, buried seven 3-pointers and Brackett added five from beyond the arc.

Mike Gallagher scored 23 points for SMCC.

GORHAM — Donna Cowing scored 15 points and notched 12 rebounds as Southern Maine rolled to a 93-55 triumph over UMass-Boston.

Ashley Marble had a game-high 17 points for USM (14-2). Lindsey Welch scored 16 points and Katie Frost contributed 15.

Elmina Darville led UMass (4-10) with 15 points.

Bowdoin 58, Ithaca 42

ITHACA, N.Y. – Behind tenacious defense and a 19-point, eight-rebound effort from Eileen Flaherty, the top-ranked Bowdoin women’s basketball team defeated Ithaca 58-42.

The Polar Bears improve to 13-1 on the season, while the Bombers fall to 7-5.

Bowdoin took a commanding 20-2 lead 10 minutes into the game en route to a 34-16 lead by halftime.

St. Joseph’s 71, Colby 58

WATERVILLE – Kaylin Regula netted a game-high 23 points on 9-for-12 shooting to lead St. Joseph’s to a 71-58 victory over Colby.

The Monks pulled away in the second half after leading by two at intermission.

Mt. Blue graduate Margaret Blauvelt tallied 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Monks (7-5), while Megan Tetrault added 13 points.

Katie McCabe led the way for Colby (5-9) with 18 points, while Wendy Bonner contributed with 13.

CMCC 61, SMCC 51

AUBURN – Ashley Swett drained 36 points to lead Central Maine Comminuty College to a 61-51 victory over Southern Maine Community College.

Ashley Woolford contributed 11 points.

Leann Pike led SMCC with 23-points, while Natasha Dyer tallied 16 and Elizabeth Ouellette added 10.

CMCC built up a 33-26 advantage at the half.
