PARIS – The South Paris Baptist Church announces that Pastor Jim Beliasov is filling the position of interim pastor. Beliasov and his wife, Jann, who reside in Boothbay, will stay in the South Paris area on the weekends as they minister at the church.
Beliasov received a BS degree in Bible from Philadelphia Biblical University, a BS in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s in ministry from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.
He was ordained to the gospel ministry in Philadelphia in 1964. He has been involved in church planting in Langhorne, Pa., and in Manchester, Conn., where he was pastor for 29 years.
He and his wife retired from full-time ministry in 2003 and moved to the Boothbay area. They have one son, who, with his wife and two children, serve as missionaries in Bangladesh.
The church held a fellowship lunch and reception for the Beliasovs on Jan. 16 after the morning service. Those wanting more information should call the church office at 743-6405.
