GREENE – The Androscoggin Grange is challenging all residents, young and old, to participate in a Snow Critter Challenge

Participants of any and all ages have from Feb. 1 to April 1 to make a snow critter in the town. Any creation goes. It can be as simple as an old-fashioned snowman or it could get creative.

After building a snow critter participants should call Cindy Morin at 946-3434. She will visit the residence and videotape the creation. She will also take a snapshot of the participant and their snow critter.

Judging will be done by a group of Androscoggin Grange members. The members will watch the video and pick the winners soon after April 1.

The Grange is in the process of contacting local businesses for donations or certificates that will be used as prizes. The first-place winner will have the option of a cash prize or their pick of other prizes collected.

The challenge goal is to create a fun and active community. The project can be a group or individual effort. Group winners will have to split the prize.

For more information, contact Cindy Morin at 946-3434.
