BABSON PARK, Mass. — Senior Betsy Hochadel scored 14 points to lead Bates to 59-48 victory over Babson in women’s college basketball action Tuesday.

Olivia Zurek added 12 points and seven rebounds for Bates (16-1), while Heather Taylor contributed 10 points and four assists.

Erin Conroy led Babson (0-7) with 15 points and six rebounds.

USM 80, Plymouth St, 62

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Ashley Marble drained 25 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead Southern Maine to a 80-62 victory over Plymouth State.

Megan Myles chipped in for the Huskies (15-2) with 18 points, while Katie Frost added 13.

Betsy Oswalt led Plymouth State (6-10) with 13 points, while Joy DePalo tallied 11 and Lauren Devereaux added 10.

USM held a 38-30 advantage at the break and pulled steadily away on the strength of a 47-32 run in the second half.

UMF 55, Colby 39

FARMINGTON – Melissa Sawyer scored 13 points and pulled down five rebounds to lead the University of Maine at Farmington to a 55-39 victory over Colby.

Karen Sirois chipped in for the Beavers (12-4) with 10 points, while Brandi Rideout added nine.

Plymouth St. 84, USM 74

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Nick Pelotte drained a game-high 23 points and pulled down seven rebounds to propel Plymouth State to a 84-74 victory over Southern Maine.

Andreas Pope chipped in for Plymouth State (12-5) with 22 points.

Bill Hardwick led the Huskies (7-10) with 18 points, while Mike Francoeur and Josh Daniels contributed with 12 points apiece.
