PARIS – Foster-Carroll Post 72, American Legion, and Auxiliary held a blood drive on Jan. 14 to benefit Maine Medical Center. Gifts were presented to donors in appreciation.

Dues have been paid by 118 members, leaving eight unpaid before 100 percent membership is reached for the unit.

The post and unit held a supper Jan. 12, with the supper committee comprised of Virginia Gammon, Marilyn Ramsay and Marguerite Johnson.

There was a good turnout on Dec. 17 for the Christmas party with a buffet supper, singing of carols, gift-giving and cards. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Conant were stand-ins for Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.

There will be a public ham supper on Feb. 12 followed by a dance, with the Country Lads providing the music at the South Paris Legion Hall. The supper will start at 5 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling M. Ramsay in advance.
