MANCHESTER – The wedding of Kristen Libby and Federico Genovese was held at 3 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the Augusta Country Club. Diane McDougal officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Genovese is the daughter of David and Carol Libby of Monmouth. Mr. Genovese is the son of Antonio and Roxane Genovese of Gardiner.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a satin gown with A-line skirt and beaded Empire bodice and hem. Her veil was hand-made by her aunt, Orva Appesse, and she carried a bouquet of red and white roses and lilies. The wedding cake was made by the bride’s great-aunt, Midgie Potter.

Elizabeth Paradis, best friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Naomi Sirois, another best friend of the bride, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Mandy Carroll and Melanie Ward, friends of the bride, and Cindy Libby, sister-in-law of the bride. Delilah Libby, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Serving as best man for his brother was Marcello Genovese and ushers were Robert Frink and Luke Keyes, friends of the bridegroom, and Nicholas Genovese, brother of the bridegroom. Jonathan Kohavi, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Augusta Country Club, after which the couple traveled to Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

The bride received an associate degree in early childhood education from Mid-State College and is employed at Farm Credit of Maine in Auburn.

The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Thomas College and an associate degree in business organization and management from Mid-State College. He is employed at Gardiner Savings Institute, FSB, in Gardiner.
