OXFORD – Debi Irons of Art Moves Dance Studio (Bethel/Norway) is teaching dance at Boxberry School on Fridays through March. Irons is at Boxberry as part of the community program on Fridays.

Boxberry is inviting anyone from the Oxford Hills Community wishing to share an interest or project with the students on Fridays.

Past guests have included Roy Gedat talking about democracy, Beth and JoAnne Allen sharing their craft skills, Mark Larson making pottery with the students and Betsy Baird facilitating Destination Imagination. Guests spend anywhere from one to 10 Friday afternoons with the students.

Irons’ visits were funded by special donations from community members. Many of the guests donate their time as well.

Friday afternoons have been a success, and the students enjoy the diversity in their week. Many home-schooled children join as well.

Anyone interested in volunteering for a Friday afternoon project can, call 743-9700. Visit www.boxberryschool.org for more information on the school.
