DIXFIELD — Michelle Holmquist poured in a game high 21 points to lead Dirigo to an easy 73-24 victory over Carrabec in MVC basketball action Monday evening.

Dirigo outscored Carrabec 25-4 in the first quarter and never stopped rolling. Holly Knight added 14 points for the Cougars (16-0) and Alexa Kaubris added 10 points and 7 assists.

The Cobras (0-15) were paced by a seven point performance by Alicia Kingley.

Mt. Abram 41, Telstar 34

SALEM — Emily Stinchfield, Heather Hayes, and Brianna Wilkins scored eight points apiece to lead Mt. Abram to a 41-34 victory over Telstar in an MVC basketball matchup Monday.

Mt. Abram (9-6) trailed by five heading into the second half, but held Telstar to 12 points in the final two quarters to record the victory.

Bailey Davis scored seven points for Telstar in the losing effort.

Hall-Dale 64, Winthrop 58

WINTHROP — Caitlyn Laflin drained 21 points to lift Hall-Dale to a 64-58 triumph over Winthrop in girls’ varsity basketball action Monday evening.

Chesley Dionne added 13 points to help secure the victory for Hall-Dale (14-1).

Emilie Knight scored a game-high 26 points for Winthrop (8-7) in the losing effort. Katie Pushard and Nicki Emery scored 11 and 10 points respectively.

Boys’ basketball
Gould 62, Averill 21

BETHEL — Ben Formann scored 20 points to lead Gould to a 62-21 victory over Averill in boys’ varsity basketball action Monday evening.

Kaul Olson added 15 points for Gould (4-6) while P.J. Savage contributed 14 points. Carl Stowe scored eight points for Averill.

Hockey
Hebron 8, NYA 1

HEBRON — Drew Laurie scored two goals as Hebron skated to an 8-1 victory over North Yarmouth.

Roman Gosney had a goal and an assist for Hebron (5-6). Hebron goaltender Jon Glant recorded five saves on six shots for the win.

Jed Bartlet scored the lone goal for NYA on a double assist by Charlie Stetson and Michael Welch.

St. Dom’s 6, Brunswick 1

AUBURN — Matt Manson and John Rutt scored two goals each to lead St. Dom’s to a 6-1 win over Brunswick in hockey action Monday.

Nick Stofford and Tom Gosselin also scored for St. Dom’s in the victory.

Josh Plaque scored the lone goal for Brunswick.
