LISBON – Selectmen on Tuesday approved two bonds for road and water work.

Both were authorized by vote of the town.

The first bond is for $368,000 for work on Mill Street, Miller Road and other projects. The other is for $3 million to finance improvements to the Moody Road pump station.

The board also voted to ask residents in May for a bond of up to $225,000 for a new grit and rags removal system at the sewer treatment plant. Bid proposals will be sought for the work, which would begin after June 30, the end of the fiscal year.

Nomination papers for the May 14 municipal election will be available at the Town Clerk’s Office beginning at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 18. They must be returned no later than 4:30 p.m. on March 30.

There are three-year openings for selectmen, School Committee and Water Commission.

The annual warrant for delinquent dog licenses was signed.

Selectmen went into executive session to discuss a revolving loan find application, personnel-unions, and the cable TV franchise.
