Advocates needed

PARIS – The REACH Sexual Assault Crisis and Support Line is in need of advocates.

The 12-week training provides the information and skills needed to support survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones, as well as provide information to the community via the 24-hour support line.

The training also is recommended for other caregivers interested in learning more about the effects of sexual violence. Training is provided free, and participants do not need to commit to support line advocacy to take the training.

Contact Heather at the REACH office for more information and/or for an application at 743-9777.

The next training session will be held from 6 to 9 p.m.Wednesday, March 2, at the REACH office, 1 East Main St., South Paris.
