MANCHESTER, N.H. – Gayle Sue Burns of Hooksett, N.H., and Eric James Maddox of Hooksett, N.H., were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony on Dec. 11 performed by the Rev. Robert Plummer of Rumford at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Manchester, N.H.

The bride is the daughter of Elliot “Bud” and Barbara Burns of Rumford. The bridegroom is the son of James and Phyllis Maddox of Arlington, Mass.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and she wore a white satin gown designed with short sleeves, a sweetheart neckline and heart-shaped back all featuring sequins and pearls throughout on Alencon lace. The full skirt extended into a Cathedral train, also enhanced with sequins, pearls and lace.

The maids of honor were the bride’s best friends, Christine Brophy of Clarence Center, N.Y., and Lisa Robinson of Bedford, N.H. The bridesmaids were the bride’s sister-in-law, Lisa Burns of Hooksett, N.H., and the bridegroom’s sister, Laura Maddox of Malden, Mass. The flower girl was the bride’s niece, Abigail Burns, and the ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Collin Burns, of Hooksett, N.H.

The best men were the bridegroom’s friends, Christopher Osborn of Santa Monica, Calif., and David Iacuzio, Esq. of Waxhaw, N.C. The groomsmen were the bride’s brother, Arthur Burns of Hooksett, N.H., and the bridegroom’s close friend, Andy Meyers of Exeter, N.H.

A reception was held at the Executive Court Banquet Facility in Manchester. After a week-long honeymoon in Bonaire in January, the couple will reside in Hooksett, N.H.

The bride graduated from Rumford High School and Bowdoin College in Brunswick. She is employed as a business systems manager with FCI USA Inc. in Manchester, N.H.

The bridegroom graduated from Arlington High School and Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. He is employed as a software engineer with CEI in Boston.
