WESTBROOK – The wedding of Andrea Nicole Small and John Peter Blunda was held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 16 at St. Hyacinth Church in Westbrook. The Rev. John Tokaz officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Blunda is the daughter of Robert and Elaine Small of Durham. Mr. Blunda is the son of Peter and Barbara Blunda of Gorham.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown with spaghetti straps, purple beading and embroidered lace on the gown and the train featured beaded buttons on both sides of the lace detailed with tulle inset. She carried a bouquet of yellow and orange roses with baby’s breath.

Alison Levine, friend of the bride, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Amanda Clements and Lynn Verrill, friends of the couple, Kelly Reed, friend of the bride, and Heather Small, sister-in-law of the bride.

Serving as best man for his friend was Tim Farwell and ushers were Sam and Joe Blunda, brothers of the bridegroom, Marc Montminy, friend of the bridegroom, and Jeff Verrill, friend of the couple.

A reception followed at the Holiday Inn, Portland West, after which the couple traveled to Quebec City in Quebec. They are residing in Bowdoinham.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Freeport High School and received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Southern Maine in 2000. She is employed at the May Center for Child Development in Freeport.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Gorham High School and a 1998 graduate of Southern Maine Technical College with an associate degree in video/multimedia technology. He is also a 2003 graduate of St. Joseph’s College with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He is currently employed as an associate producer at WCSH-TV.
