AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St. The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m.

A Valentine luncheon will be served under the direction of Irving and Charlotte Grant with volunteer help, and the Valentine king and queen will be crowned. Members are reminded to bring their cups for the luncheon. There will be the usual raffle table. All items brought in for the raffle are appreciated. Members may pay unpaid dues for 2005 prior to the meeting and luncheon.

The group met Jan. 26 with President Dorothy Larrabee presiding and 39 members attending. A moment of silence was observed in memory of recently departed members Roger Goding Sr., Mary B. Barnes, Lydia Williams, Arlene Sieckowski and Pauline Grannell.

It was stated there are seats available for the March 11 trip to Indian Head Resort in Lincoln, N.H. Price of $50 includes all expenses. The bus will leave the American Legion Post at 9 a.m. For reservations call Evelyn Sawin at 998-4577, call Lee Koss at 783-6396 or see either at Robin Dow meetings. Non-members are welcome.

Those having birthdays in January were recognized. Attendance prize winners were Audrey Fleming and Kay DeBurra; pot of gold, Ellie Rolerson, Nancy Roy and Pat Edwards. New members welcomed were Gerald and Mareitte Timberlake and Ralph Cyr.

Installed in office for the year 2005 by installing officer Lucy Cowles were: board of directors, Kay Koss, Irving Grant, Betty Hebert, Joan Webb, Alwin Strout and honorary director, Audrey Fleming; president, Dorothy Larrabee; vice president, Merry Strout; treasurer, Irving Grant; assistant treasurer, Lee Koss; recording secretary, Caroline Chapman; corresponding secretary, Shirley Hawkins; and chaplain, Patricia Donahue.

In appreciation of her services as president, Larrabee was presented an inscribed medallion for her terms in office from members of Robin Dow Senior Citizens by Strout.
