AUBURN – Members of Danville Junction Grange 65 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the hall. Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting.

Since the program is “Game Night,” members are reminded to bring board games to play. All members and guests are welcome.

Council supper

AUBURN – Twin City Council 160, United Commercial Travelers of America, will meet at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Odd Fellows Hall, Elm Street. A potluck supper will follow the business meeting. All members and guests are welcome.

Emblem meeting

LEWISTON – Lewiston Emblem Club 528 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Lewiston Lodge of Elks, 1675 Lisbon St. All members are encouraged to attend as the annual nomination of officers will take place.

The Emblem Club is affiliated with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and is looking for new members. Anyone wanting more information should contact Club President Kathleen Cotterly at 998-2282.

Lenten dinners

LEWISTON – Holy Cross Church, 1100 Lisbon St., is inviting the public to fish and chips dinners from 4:30 to 7 p.m. during the Fridays in Lent, Feb. 11, 18 and 25 and March 4 and 11. The price for the baked fish dinner is $6; the macaroni and cheese dinner will be $5; and children under 12 can eat for $2.50. All the dinners will be served with French fries, coleslaw, rolls, coffee and punch.

The public is also invited to participate in the Stations of the Cross starting at 5:30 p.m. on those Fridays. Attendees on March 11 will see a special Living Stations of the Cross enacted by the Holy Cross Youth Group, the first in more than 15 years.

Movie night

LISBON – The Lisbon Community School’s Parent-Teacher Organization and the Lisbon Community Library will present a Family Movie Night at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, in the school cafetorium, 33 Mill St.

The movie will be “Shark Tale.” Refreshments will be served. For more information, call the school at 353-4132.

Library classes

AUBURN – “Hot Topic Computer Databases” will be offered from 10 to 11 a.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Auburn Public Library.

Participants will learn how to read their favorite magazine plus past issues online, learn how to have full access to the Britannica encyclopedia and how to access current medical information. Both classes are on the same topic.
