MONMOUTH – The Cumston Public Library reception room was the location of a reception for library Director Veronica Clauss recently.
Clauss has been instrumental in guiding the library through its expansion and restoration project since she took over as director in 1996. The reception was hosted by the Cumston Public Library Association.
Clauss was presented a ruby pendant and several gift certificates. Words of appreciation were spoken by Nancy Ludewig, who represented the association; Ben Lund, representing the Friends of Cumston Hall and Monmouth Theater; and Steve Dyer, who represented the town.
A card basket, with cards for children and adults, is at the library and will continue to be there for several more weeks. Patrons and residents are encouraged to write to Clauss.
