AUBURN – Melissa Johnson, has won the second trip of the month in the Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Breakfast Club’s Trip of the Month Raffle fund-raiser. The January prize is a trip for two to Myrtle Beach, S.C., plus $250 in cash.
The raffle is new this year. Each year the club will sell no more than 350 raffle tickets; each month the club will draw three tickets. The first prize is a trip to one of a dozen vacation destinations.
Holders of the second and third tickets will receive the purchase price of their ticket. All winners will be entered into the remaining drawings for the year. Tickets for the 2006 raffle will be on sale starting in September.
Rotary International is a nonprofit service organization. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 31,000 clubs located in 166 countries.
The Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Breakfast Club provides more than $30,000 a year in grants to local and international charities, with funds raised through the Trip-of-the-Month raffle, its annual golf tournament in June and the Great Duck Race in August.
