LEWISTON – Youth 2 Youth groups in surrounding communities will poster their schools this week to send the message that marijuana is a drug that has detrimental effects.

Posters will go up in entry ways, hallways and cafeterias – everywhere students will be at the following high schools and middle schools throughout the week:

Leavitt Area High School and Tripp Middle School in Turner with Youth Group Adviser Sarah Douchette.

Lisbon High School and Lisbon Middle School, Youth Group Adviser Bernie McAllister.

Poland Regional High School and Bruce Whittier Middle School, Youth Group Adviser Lynley Turkington.

Lewiston High School and Lewiston Middle School, Youth Group Adviser Vicky Weigman.

Healthy Androscoggin’s Project Unite! A OneME Project and Drug Free Community Support Program is providing the students and their advisers with posters as part of their campaign to help increase awareness and prevention of marijuana usage in youth.
