Lodge installation
AUBURN – Ashlar Lodge 105, AF and AM, will hold installation of officers on Monday, Feb. 21, at the Auburn Masonic Temple, 1021 Turner St. Installation will be held during the monthly meeting, which will start at 7:30 p.m. all Masons are invited. Nursing meeting
LEWISTON – The Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing will present an informational session for individuals interested in learning more about a career in nursing.
Advanced placement for licensed practical nurses and paramedics will be the subject of a presentation set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the School of Nursing, 70 Middle St. The program will consider how existing qualifications and experience can be converted to an accelerated course of study.

Seniors speaker
AUBURN – The Rev. Allison VanderLinden will give a devotional talk when the Young at Heart Fellowship meets at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Court Street Baptist Church.
VanderLinden of New Gloucester has served as pastor in area churches, including the Court Street Baptist Church. She and her husband, David, recently returned from La Romana in the Dominican Republic where they took medical, hygiene and school supplies, which were distributed among Haitians.
There will be a business meeting conducted by co-presidents Mary and Winston Greaton. A food sale will be held at 10:30 a.m. and continuing through the lunch hour.
Members are reminded to bring food for the sale; also, a bag lunch and their crafts and hobbies to be displayed for the program.
Adoption is topic
LEWISTON – The Lewiston office of the Department of Health and Human Services will host a public informational meeting about adoption and foster care for those interested at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24.

Rottweiler Day
AUBURN – Rottweiler Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Pet Quarters, 600 Center St. Sponsor is North East Rottweiler Rescue and Referral.
The rescue has Rottweilers of all ages looking for homes. The dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, temperament tested and have lived with a foster family prior to placement.
