PARIS – College preparation, computer and exercise classes are being offered at Oxford Hills Adult Education during the spring session.

Math Lab, Clancy Allen: Students may enroll for Algebra I, Algebra II or Geometry for high school credit or for review, also for college students needing help.

It is a teacher-assisted self-paced class. For most people with no prior experience in algebra or geometry, more than one semester is needed to complete a full credit. One high school credit.

The 15-week on-going class meets from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Tuition is $50 and book deposit is $15.

Keyboarding, Nancy Tyrrell: Learn speed, accuracy, correct techniques, proper posture and how to avoid repetitive motion problems.

The course meets the requirements for the office skills program. Also useful for people who need to practice their typing skills and gain speed.

The course will be taught on IBM compatible computers. One-half high school credit will be earned for both sessions.

The 10-session class will meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting March 22. Tuition is $50 and the lab fee is $10.

Computer Spreadsheets, Clyde Clark: Using Microsoft Excel, learn the basics of computer spreadsheets, including use of formulas, creating an automated invoice, creating a template, formatting a spreadsheet to make it look professional and easy to use, filtering works to find specific information, creating charts and forecasting trends, linking information in several spreadsheets and printing reports.

The 10-session class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, starting April 28. Tuition is $40 and lab fee is $10.

Cardio/Kickboxing with Step Aerobics, Cherie Snyder: A low to high intensity workout. Cardio kickboxing Mondays and Wednesdays and step aerobics on Fridays.

Each class will consist of 10 minutes of stretching, 30 minutes of low to high intensity cardio followed by 20 minutes of intense floor work focusing on abdominal areas.

Bring an exercise mat, one- or two-pound hand weights and step.

The 16 classes will meet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. starting March 28. Tuition is $48.

General Educational Development pretesting and testing will be offered at Oxford Hills Adult Education. Students may enter at any time during the school year. Classes are Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.
