LEWISTON – The Senior College Food for Thought luncheon program will present “Satire in Alice in Wonderland” with Barbara Randall, at noon Friday, Feb. 18. Doors will open 11:45 a.m. at the University of Southern Maine, Lewiston-Auburn College.

Bates is topic

AUBURN – The Androscoggin Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, on the third floor of the county building.

Topic will be “150 Years of Bates College in Lewiston and Auburn” with Dr. William Hiss and Darcy York, Bates 05, presenting the program. The scheduled February and March meeting topics have been interchanged.

The meeting is free, open to the public and wheelchair accessible.

Commission meet

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Historical Commission will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the Lewiston Public Library third-floor conference room. The history of the Empire Theater will be the main topic.

Bridge play

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Feb. 14 were: N/S, first, Betty and Doug Sise; second, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; third, Anna Vitiello and Randy Silver; fourth, Eleanor Griffin and Paul Beegel.

Registrations are being accepted for the intermediate bridge course at the Lewiston Adult Education office, 795-4141. Classes will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. beginning Monday, March 21.
