LEWISTON – A surprise celebration was held at Davinci’s Restaurant in Lewiston on Nov. 27 for Roland and Marcella Cyr Pelletier of Lewiston on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The party was hosted by their children, Diane and husband, Wayne Danforth, Daniel and wife, Joan, David and wife, Nancy, Michael and wife, Sonia, and Rachel and husband, James Haines, as well as grandchildren, Lynn, Tracy, Randi, Carly, Lexie, Allysa, Bronwyn, Shayla, Katie, Jeremy, Timothy, Sheena, Tasha, Mason, Amia, Shane and Shawn and great-grandchildren, Kourtney, Spencer, Tyler, Zoie and Brayden.
Dan Pelletier gave a toast and while eating dinner, a compilation of family videos was displayed on a large television. After dinner and cake, Dan read about “50 years of love” in the Pelletier home. It spoke about the family growing up and afterward a slide show depicting those years was playing with the song “Remember When” by Alan Jackson. A beautiful family scrapbook was displayed.
Many nieces, nephews and friends also attended to wish the couple their best, including Mr. Pelletier’s sister, Rita and husband, Ivan Lavoie, and niece, Kathy and husband, Patrick Bossi, and their two children from out of state.
The couple received many gifts and good wishes.
