AUBURN – The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston offers its second 2005 session of swim lessons beginning Monday, Feb. 28.

The following classes are offered: Parent and Tot, 6 to 18 months; Water Babies, 18 to 24 months; Tiny Tots, ages 2 to 5; Youth Progressive Lessons, age 6 and up; Introduction to Competitive Swimming, age 6 to 18; and adult swim lessons.

Each program runs in eight-week sessions and class size is limited. Registration is taken on a first come, first serve basis and is now open.

All participants must be YMCA members. A yearly (social) membership for those ages 5 and under is $20; youth membership, $45. All the above classes have a $45 program fee.

YMCA aquatic programs are designed to instill confidence in participants and make learning new skills fun and challenging in a positive way.

Those interested can inquire about the adult lap swim, water aerobics, family/open swims, Scout swims and splash parties.
