PARIS – As part of Groundhog Job Shadow Day 2005, students enrolled in marketing and retail management at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School spent the morning at Wal-Mart in Oxford learning about retail career.

Alyssa Bouchard, community involvement coordinator at Wal-Mart, made the initial contact with Education Exchange Director Maureen Howard.

This is the forth year that the local Wal-Mart joined the national initiative. Don Starbird, assistant manager of Oxford Wal-Mart, conducted a tour for the students, who learned about Wal-Mart’s sales and marketing strategies, shipping, receiving, the computer system and the advantages of choosing a career in the Wal-Mart Corp.
