OXFORD – An Oxford area community blood drive will be held from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 26, at the American Legion Post 112, 112 King St., South Oxford. It is the Eagle Scout project of Brian Robinson of Poland. Those wanting more information or an appointment should call Robinson at 998-3212 or the American Red Cross at 1-800-482-0743. A valid ID will be required.
Knitting guild
PARIS – Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, March 1, at the First Congregational Church, South Paris. Members should bring extra yarns, patterns and needles for the silent auction. Anyone wanting more information should call 743-7677.
Past presidents
OXFORD – The Past Presidents Club of the Frank W. Hulett Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Auxiliary met at the home of Lucille Ray on Feb. 2.
Members worked on centerpieces for the state convention banquet that will be held at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston in June. A lunch was served by the hostess after the meeting.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, March 2, at the home of Ellen Broas.
