FARMINGTON – Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community will offer a six-week assertive communications training from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays from March 15 to April 19, at the center, 108 Perham St.

The interactive workshop will show participants how to communicate in an honest and expressive, but not pushy, assertive manner that can help them express themselves positively while respecting others.

Women, Work and Community is a statewide nonprofit organization committed to improving the economic lives of Maine women and their families.

The organization works with women “where they are” and provides them with support, guidance and the tools they need to take the next steps toward a more promising future.

All services are free and confidential.
