Scott Robitaille of Lewiston was recently inducted into Elmira College’s Rho Mu Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the education honor society. A member of the class of 2006, he is the son of Donald and Carol Robitaille of Lewiston.

Kappa Delta Pi is an international honor society in education that was founded in 1911 for the purpose of recognizing excellence in teacher education. Robitaille will leave in April to spend his third term in Scotland to complete an internship.

Allison Beckler, daughter of Doug and Mary Lou Beckler of Canton, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of New England. A 2003 graduate of Dirigo High School in Dixfield, Becker is a major in medical biology.

Audrey Ellis, daughter of Kurt and Sarah Ellis of Lewiston, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of New England.

Dean’s list students have attained a grade point average of 3.30 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.

A 2002 graduate of Lewiston High School, Ellis is a major in nursing. She is also involved in the Student Government Association as a first-year student nurse representative.

Andrea R. Thornton has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Northeastern University in Boston. She is in the fourth year of a five-year undergraduate program, with a dual major in environmental sciences and geology.

Thornton is 2001 graduate of Edward Little High School. She is the daughter of Cecile Thornton of Lewiston and Jim Thornton of Scarborough.
