Rosa Luxemburg film to be aired

NORWAY – A film on Rosa Luxemburg, the famous socialist leader, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Norway Memorial Library, Main Street.

Luxemburg was assassinated in Berlin in 1919 by thugs who were the progenitors of Hitler. She was a leader of the large German Socialist Party prior to World War I.

Refreshments and discussion will follow. The program will last approximately two hours and is sponsored by World Outlook.

Bridges lecture at Crescent Park

BETHEL – A lecture will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 11, at Crescent Park Elementary School. Cate Journey will speak on archetypes and how they influence choices made.

It is in part of a series of Bridges lectures offered to the public free. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Comedy to be performed

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Music and Performing Arts Association will present “Don’t Drink the Water,” a comedy by Woody Allen, at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 11 and 12, and Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 17, 18 and 19, at the Grange Hall on Whitman Street.

The show will be held again at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 13. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and children under 12. They may be purchased at Books N’ Things, Oxford Shopping Plaza, 743-7197 or at the door.
