SABATTUS – United Ambulance Service provided a presentation for eighth-grade students at Sabattus Central School on Feb. 2. The presentation was given by Paramedic Scott Latulippe and Intermediate EMT Eric Saunders.
The students had been participating in an ongoing American Heart Association “CPR for Schools Module,” taught by the school nurse, Ronnie Paradis, RN.
United was requested to provide a one-hour informational presentation of an Automated External Defibrillator. The presentation also included an overview of the Maine Emergency Medical Services license levels, an explanation of the responsibilities of license levels and how someone can obtain licensure at each level.
Those who would like a similar presentation at their school can contact Latulippe, EMT-P/education coordinator, at 777-6006, ext. 237, or Slatulippe@unitedambulance.com.
