Marine Corps Pfc. Ryan M. Lacroix, grandson of Irene A. Lacroix of Greene, recently completed the basic electrician’s course.
During the course at Utilities Instruction Co., Marine Corps Engineer School, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C., students received instruction on the repair and maintenance of generators, transformers and power lines.
In addition to the mechanical skills involved, studies also included circuitry, electrical theory and related safety procedures.
Lacroix is a 2004 graduate of Gardiner Area High School.
