LEWISTON – The artwork of Tom Reichard is being featured during March by the Woman’s Hospital Association at Central Maine Medical Center.

A relative newcomer to the Lewiston-Auburn area, Reichard is human resources director for Central Maine Healthcare. He has been an avid photographer for as long as he can remember, but really learned how to create images that make a lasting impression and win ribbons during his membership in the Merrimack Valley Camera Club in North Andover, Mass.

Reichard focuses his lenses on natural settings in coastal Maine, flowers in his garden and urban architecture, to name a few of his favorite subjects. His work has appeared in high school yearbooks, photo galleries and the Trustees of Reservations brochures. He has focused the majority of his work in film photography but is now enjoying the new opportunities that digital photography affords.

He has taken on a variety of photographic projects and his work is produced in matted, framed and gift card forms. Reichard and his wife live in Auburn.

The association supports Central Maine Medical Center and its patients by promoting the health and welfare of the community, raising money to fund special projects. Anyone interested in membership or in the monthly artist showings should call the association at 795-2295.
