RUMFORD – A Business Lunch and Learn will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at the River Valley Technology Center, 60 Lowell St.

This month’s topic will be “How Do I Win a Federal SBIR/STTR Award?” to be presented by Karen West Morgan of C&P Management services.

In the last two years 29 Maine companies have received more than $3.2 million from the federal government for research and development leading to commercialization of new products.

Participants will learn the basics about the federal government’s Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer grant program.

The seminars are intended to provide information to entrepreneurs and existing businesses in an affordable way. Anyone can gather resources and information for long-term success. In addition, the seminars are intended to facilitate networking among businesses or entrepreneurs in similar activities.

The seminars are sponsored by the River Valley Technology Center, the River Valley Growth Council and the River Valley Chamber of Commerce.
