PARIS – The Oxford Hills chapter of the AARP, friends and families are looking for additional travelers to make the trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia. There are still 20 seats remaining. Cyr Bus Tours has extended the date for signing up to May 5, with final payment due before May 11.

The trip is a four-day, three-night trip, July 6 to 9, to see the performance of the Nova Scotia International Tattoo. The tour will leave from Oxford, and pick-up in Auburn and Portland can be arranged.

Call Walter or Henrietta Taft at 743-6722 with questions or for reservations. The price is $592 pp/dbl occupancy, triples and quads available. Send a $50 deposit made out to Walter Taft, 1024 Gore Road, Otisfield, ME 04270. The balance is to be paid before May 11. Seats are assigned in order of receipt of deposit check.

Holy Week

OTISFIELD – The Holy Week services at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, Rayville Road, will be as follows: Maundy Thursday service 7 p.m., March 24, in the Fellowship Room, a service of Communion and Tennebrae; Easter sunrise service, 6 a.m., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hooker, Route 121, Oxford; Easter Sunday worship service, 10 a.m.

The church will be open from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday March 26, to receive flowers in memory and in honor of loved ones.
