LEWISTON – Marguerite Stapleton will be the speaker when St. Joseph’s Church hosts another in the Lenten Lecture and Luncheon series after the noon Mass on Thursday, March 17, in the parish hall. Her topic will be “Go in Peace to Love and Serve the Lord.”

Stapleton is vice president for mission effectiveness at Sisters of Charity Health System.

She is responsible for educating and motivating the employees, medical staff and trustees to live the mission and values of the organization.

Stapleton did her undergraduate work at Immaculata College and received her master’s degree at the University of Illinois. She has done further graduate study in theology at Villanova University and Boston College.

During her career she has taught elementary and secondary school, been a book review editor and worked for 14 years as a pastoral associate at St. Philip’s Parish in Auburn.

Stapleton has served on the board of directors of the North American Forum on the Catechumenate, the Maine Council of Churches, the United Way of Androscoggin County and is on the board for Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice. She also serves on the Advisory Committee for Wisdom’s Center in Lewiston.
