HEBRON – Among this year’s Hebron Academy Upper School class officers, home towns like Auburn, Norway, Hebron and New Gloucester are well-represented alongside places like Bochum, Germany; Bedford, Pa.; Seoul, Korea; and Plymouth, Mass., reflecting the geographic diversity at the school.
Two class presidents are from Norway: Mont Fournier-Brazier ’06 and Charles Cummings ’07. Jodie Simms of Auburn is the senior class secretary and Samantha Baril of Hebron is the junior class secretary.
Becoming a class officer is one of several student leadership opportunities at Hebron. Class officers are elected by their peers and work with faculty advisers to organize and manage special events and projects, such as class fund-raisers.
Hebron tradition calls for the senior class president to deliver the commencement address. This year Bettina Voight of New Gloucester will have the honor of speaking to parents, faculty, trustees, friends and fellow students.
