SABATTUS – The families of Elizabeth Thompson and Ryan Begin are happy to announce their forthcoming marriage.

Miss Thompson is the daughter of Martin and Judy Thompson of Paradox, N.Y. She is also the granddaughter of Stella Harvish of Moriah, N.Y. She is a graduate of Schroon Lake Central School, where she was a cheerleader and went on to pursue a degree in physics from SUNY at Albany, N.Y. She also received a degree in electrical engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. She is currently employed at Raytheon in Tewksbury, Mass.

Mr. Begin is the son of Paul and Connie Begin of Sabattus. He is a graduate of Oak Hill High School and Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., with a degree in electrical engineering and E.T. He later returned there to receive his master’s degree in engineering. He is currently employed at Raytheon in Woburn, Mass.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 24 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at Schroon Lake, N.Y., with a reception to follow at Jimbo’s Club at Brant Lake.
