LIVERMORE – Charity Rebekah Lodge of Livermore Falls will meet Wednesday, March 23, at the hall, the Ralph Wright Memorial Building, 284 Federal Road. A 12:30 lunch will start the activities, with Bernal and Glennys Wilkins as hosts.

Because of cancellations due to the weather, some of the previous programs will be observed. Thomas Wildey and Schuyler Colfax birthdays will be noted, with Mildred Wright in charge. Noble Grand Frances Berry will be welcomed back after her vacation in Florida.

A new date has been set for the annual district meeting, which will be held May 7 with Ponemah Rebekah Lodge in Canton.

Good Friday

NEW VINEYARD – A Good Friday service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, at the Mt. View Bible Church on Church Street. The service will be led by Pastor Rick Dubuc.

Services for Easter Sunday will include a 6:30 a.m. sunrise service in the parking lot of the Donald Kenney residence on Lake Street.

Easter sale

FARMINGTON – St. Luke’s annul Easter Bread Sale will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at Twice Sold Tales on Main Street. Proceeds from the sale will benefit St. Luke’s general fund.

Bunny to visit

FARMINGTON – The Easter Bunny will make an appearance at the Home and Leisure Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Mt. Blue High School. The United Way of the Tri-Valley Area will sponsor the visit and invites the public to have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny, then find the many eggs he has hidden throughout the show between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The eggs may be turned in at the United Way booth for prizes.

Art class

FARMINGTON – SAD 9 Adult Education will offer an eight-week class on watercolor art from 6 to 8 p.m. starting Wednesday, March 30. For more information about the class or to register, call the Adult Ed office at 778-3460.

SAD 52 offers training

TURNER – The SAD 52 River Valley Adult and Community Education will offer a self-defense workshop for children and adults from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at Leavitt Area High School gym.

John Jenkins will present the “SAFE Plan” and teach the techniques of self-protection. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and prepared to participate in the workshop. If there is enough interest in a six-week class, arrangements will be made to schedule a date and time. To register or for more information, call SAD 52 Adult Ed at 225-33478.

A business owner’s training session will be presented by Sandler Training Institute from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Leavitt Area High School. It is a SAD 52 Adult and Community Education program.

“How to Sell More without Sounding Like Everyone Else” is a three-hour program that will cover such topics as differentiating a business, uncovering the reasons people buy and exploring the hidden strengths and weaknesses of salespeople.
