LEWISTON – The wedding of Terri Ann Gay and Scott Louis Ashton was held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 18 at the Bates College Chapel. Gerard Biron officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Ashton is the daughter of Brent and Celina Gay of Livermore Falls. Mr. Ashton is the son of Charles and Nancy Ashton of Sabattus.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown with A-line skirt, couture portrait neckline and bugle and pearl beadwork over an embroidered design. The gown also featured a Cathedral length train and she carried a bouquet of red carnations with holiday greenery and pine cones.

Celina Gay was matron of honor for her daughter and bridesmaids were April Fisher, cousin of the bridegroom, Christina Gratto, friend of the couple, and Veronica Bates, friend of the bride.

Erick Ashton served as best man for his brother and ushers were Kevin Ashton, brother of the bridegroom, Alden Fisher, cousin of the bridegroom, and Dr. Ted Stokes, friend of the couple.

Jane Jacques, cousin of the bride, did the readings.

A reception followed at the Ramada Inn Grand Ballroom, after which the couple spent three weeks traveling to and around Florida, including attending the Daytona 500.

The bride is a graduate of Livermore Falls High School and the University of Maine. She is employed at the John F. Murphy Homes in Auburn.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Oak Hill High School and Central Maine Technical College. He is employed at Fisher Farms in Sabattus.
