CANTON – The Canton’s Relay For Life team will hold activities and fund-raisers to help people combat the effects of cancer on patients and their families. A Pampered Chef Party will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at the municipal building.

A deep fried turkey supper with a Chinese/take-a-chance auction will be held Saturday, April 9, as a team fund-raiser. A large assortment of items, homemade items and gift certificates will be set up in the fire station. It will open at 4 p.m., turkey dinner will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the town hall and auction drawings will begin at 7. The cost for the supper is $5 for adults and $3 for children and senior citizens. Auction tickets are $2.50 for 10 or $5 for 25.

Another fund-raiser will be a raffle for a library table made by Donald Hutchins, a coffee table made by Joey Timberlake, a scroll clock made by Herb Meader and a cord of wood donated by Norris Conant.

Tickets will be available at all events and from team members. Drawings will be held on Saturday, May 21, the day of the Relay For Life Walk-a-thon in Rumford. Pink cancer support or survivor car magnets will be for sale for $5 each. They can be purchased at the events or at the Town Office.
