RUMFORD – The deadline for 2004 exhibitors to be guaranteed a spot in the River Valley Expo is Thursday. After that, it will be opened up to any business or organization within the 10 towns of the River Valley or to any River Valley Chamber member. The expo will be held Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at Mountain Valley High School.

Registration forms can be obtained by calling 369-0396 or e-mailing rosie@rvgc.org. Sponsors for last year’s expo will have until April 30 to renew and guarantee their sponsorship spots.

Now in its third year, the River Valley Expo is a combined effort of the River Valley Growth Council and the River Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Seniors dinner

RUMFORD – SeniorsPlus dinner will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 1, at the Rumford Dining Center, Congress Street. The menu will include spinach lasagna, marinated vegetables, marble rye bread, April fools dessert and choice of coffee, tea or milk. Cost is $3.50 for those 60 and over, their spouses, people with disabilities and volunteers; $5 for those under 60.

Women’s group

WILTON – The Western Mountain Women’s Connection will meet Tuesday, April 5, at the Boiler Room Restaurant. Linda Burdo, independent consultant for PartyLite Candles and Dcor, will be the guest. Shirley Akerblom will talk about “Heading into the Light.” Area women are invited.

There are two opportunities to attend. Lunch is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and dinner is from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $11, which includes gratuity and tax.

Circle meeting

RUMFORD – The Daughters of Isabella, St. Timothy Circle 504, assisted by the Knights of Columbus, will hold a public supper Saturday, April 9, following the 4 p.m. Mass at St. Athanasius and St. John Parish Hall. Menu will include assorted soups, chowders, stews, rolls, biscuits, desserts and beverage. Cost is $5. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 364-3314 or 364-2801.
