Anna Gielarowski, daughter of Rick and Kathy Gielarowski of Monmouth, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of New England.

Dean’s List students have attained a grade point average of 3.30 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.

A 2003 graduate of Monmouth Academy, Gielarowski is a major in dental hygiene.

Sophomore Caitlin E. Kennett of Greenwood, daughter of Robert and Amy Chapman, has been inducted to Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society, at Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y. Kennett is majoring in history.

Phi Alpha Theta is a professional society whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. It seeks to bring students, teachers and writers of history together for intellectual and social exchanges, which promote and assist historical research and publication by its members in a variety of ways.

Asha Doiron 07 of Rumford Center, an international studies general major, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Doiron, has been named to the dean’s list of academic achievement for the fall term at Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y.

Cole Couture, a 2002 graduate of the Maine School of Science and Mathematics, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Columbia University in New York City with a grade point average of 3.93. He is in his third year, majoring in economics and mathematics. Couture will graduate in May and has been hired by Booz Allen Hamilton, a consulting firm in New York City. He is the son of Rick and Sherri Couture of Jay.

Christie Beaulieu, daughter of Mike and Theresa Beaulieu of Portland, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of New England. A 2003 graduate of Catherine McAuley High School, Beaulieu is a major in dental hygiene. She is the granddaughter of Laurette Bilodeau of Lewiston.

Sophomore Andrew Mason of Monmouth has been named to the president’s list at Daniel Webster College in Nashua, N.H., for the fall semester, achieving the highest of academic honors by earning a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for three or more consecutive semesters. Mason is in aviations flight operations.

Catherine Howard has been named to the dean’s list at Lesley College in Cambridge, Mass., for the fall semester of her senior year.

Howard’s major is counseling and, in addition to her course work during the fall semester, she was an intern in the residential program at the Franciscan Children’s Hospital in Boston. The program offers a variety of short and intermediate length of stays for boys and girls ages 4 to 14 with emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Howard is the daughter of Maureen and Jim Howard of Otisfield. She is a 2001 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

Anne F. Turcotte of New Vineyard, a student at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va., was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester. Turcotte is a sophomore.

Two Rumford residents have been named to the dean’s list at Boston University in Boston for the fall semester: Danielle M. DesJardins and Petra E. Hamilton-Denison.
