DIXVILLE NOTCH, N.H. (AP) – The managing partners of the company that runs the Balsams Grand Resort Hotel are retiring.
Steve Barba, 59, and chef Phil Learned, 78, between them have more than 85 years of service at the Balsams.
Barba began his affiliation with the Balsams in 1959 when he enrolled as a caddy at the hotel’s caddy camp. Learned started his career at the hotel in 1965.
Tillotson Corp., which has owned the Balsams since 1954, named the hospitality and entertainment firm Delaware North Companies Parks and Resorts to take over management of the resort.
