LEWISTON – The University of Southern Maine/Lewiston-Auburn will host three informal workshops Tuesday, April 12, for people who are considering post-baccalaureate education.
Mary Sloan, USM’s director of graduate admissions, will conduct the sessions. She will discuss the application process, how to ask for a recommendation, how to write the essay, address standardized testing issues and give tips on researching graduate programs. A question and answer period will follow.
Anyone interested in attending may choose from one of the following three sessions: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 170b; 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Room 107; and 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Room 107.
The workshops are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Those wishing to attend are asked to call 753-6552. Walk-ins will be welcome as space allows. For more information, contact Margaret Park at USM/L-A at 753-6573 or mpark@usm.maine.edu.
