FARMINGTON – The Colonial Daughters Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, met on March 22 at the Old South Congregational Church to present the annual Good Citizenship Awards to five area high school seniors.
This year’s awards went to Sarah Shredder, Rangeley High School; Jocelyn Plog, Mount Abram High School; Elizabeth Cormier, Mt. Blue High School; Sara DeMillo, Jay High School; and Andrew Moreau, Livermore Falls High School.
Regent Connie Hiltz assisted Committee Chairwoman Loraine Norton in presenting each student with a pin, certificate, check and a book about DAR history. Andrew Moreau read his winning essay.
The students and their invited guests, parents, teachers and principals, had a potluck luncheon. Bob Nixon gave a slide presentation on the Lewis and Clark expedition.
