FARMINGTON – The University of Maine at Farmington Student Health Club will bring nationally known comedian and UMF graduate Bob Marley for a benefit performance at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 7, in Dearborn Gym on the campus.

Tickets are $12 for the public, $5 for UMF students and are available at Mickey’s Hallmark, Main Street. Proceeds will benefit the club’s trip to a national health conference.

Marley, who recently traveled to Iraq to entertain and support U.S. troops, was named one of the “Ten Comics to Watch” by Variety International Entertainment Weekly.

A UMF graduate, Marley has had numerous feature appearances in television, film and national magazines. He performs more than 300 live shows a year. He has also made appearances in several films, including “Liar’s Club,” “Under the Bus,” “Mint Condition” and “The Boondock Saints.”
