WILTON – Teams are forming for the Big Brothers Big Sisters annual fund-raiser, Bowl For Kids’ Sake, to be held April 9 at Meadow Lanes Bowling Center on Route 2.

Teams of four individuals, adults and/or children, will bowl two games between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Bowling and shoe rentals are free to those who raise $25 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County.

Rockin’ Bowl For Kids Sake will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Flashing lights, music by local DJs Steve and Leslie Bull and lots of bowling will make for a rocking fund-raising event while supporting local youth mentoring programs.

Individuals who raise the most money in the adult and child categories will win prizes at the first-, second- and third-place levels. Team prizes will be awarded also. For every $100 raised by an individual, they will get one ticket placed in a drawing for a 42-inch plasma television.

To donate, sign up a team or for more information, contact the local mentoring coordinator at 562-8193 or e-mail nancarp@megalink.net.

Mentors are needed in Franklin County to fill the waiting lists of children hoping to be matched. All mentors are screened, trained, matched and supervised throughout their match. The money raised at Bowl For Kids’ Sake will help the nonprofit organization sustain and grow youth mentoring in the greater Franklin area.
