MEXICO – Oxford Federal Credit Union employees joined representatives from 30 other Maine Credit Unions on March 31 for the ninth annual Credit Union Day at the State House.

Despite the last-minute cancellation of the day’s legislative session, many legislators attended the event and welcomed credit union employees in the Hall of Flags.

Gov. John Baldacci invited participants into his office and told them, “Credit unions mean so much to me and to the people of Maine. I appreciate all you do and for taking the time to visit the State House.”

Rep. Randy Hotham of Dixfield hosted the OFCU employees on a tour of the State House, detailing the introduction and passage of legislation and explaining the work of committees.

Oxford Federal Credit Union employees attending included President/CEO Matt Kaubris, Samantha Noyes, Deb Boudreau, Lenny Fairchild, Heather Gallant and Julie Volkernick.
