AUBURN – The Good Shepherd Food-Bank was recently awarded a $4,484.35 donation from Pampered Chef’s 2004 Round-Up from the Heart charitable giving program.

The campaign is a team effort among kitchen show guests and more than 70,000 consultants nationwide. Guests are encouraged to “round-up” their orders to the nearest dollar or more.

Funds raised by the year-long campaign are donated to the 200 America’s Second Harvest affiliated food banks across the United States, based on the zip code of the kitchen show host.

Good Shepherd Food-Bank is Maine’s largest salvage food distributor, serving all 16 counties in the state and feeding more than 70,000 people each month through its 500+ nonprofit agencies. Every dollar donated to Good Shepherd can provide more than $12.50 in food for the hungry.
